Job summary

Plena Healthcare is seeking a mobile Speech Pathologist to assess and treat adults across residential aged care and home settings across the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. This role offers clinical autonomy and the chance to manage your own calendar and travel.

You’ll develop skills in dysphagia and communication, working with a diverse caseload and receiving national team support. New graduates are welcome and flexible working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology.
• Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for a mobile role.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide evidence-based intervention for swallowing and communication.
• Support adults with complex and changing clinical needs.
• Provide dysphagia and communication assessment and intervention across residential aged care and community settings.
• Support Home Care Package clients in their own homes.
• Deliver telehealth assessment and intervention where appropriate.
• Manage your own calendar, appointments and travel schedule.
• Work collaboratively with clients, families, support staff and colleagues.
• Provide education and recommendations to clients and families.
• Advocate for clients to maintain communication, independence, dignity and quality of life.
