Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology.
• Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for this mobile role.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and person-centred care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in aged care, dysphagia or adult neurological conditions is advantageous.
• New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply with clinical support available.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide evidence-based intervention for communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Deliver dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions for adults with complex needs.
• Support clients living with neurological conditions, dementia and age-related changes.
• Manage appointments, travel schedule and clinical caseload.
• Provide telehealth assessment and intervention where appropriate.
• Collaborate with clients, families, residential aged care staff and healthcare professionals.
• Educate families and care teams with practical recommendations for safe, person-centred care.
• Advocate for clients to help achieve meaningful goals.
• Share clinical knowledge within the national Speech Pathology team.
