Job summary

National Workforce Pty Ltd is partnering with a fast-growing food manufacturer in the Sydney area to recruit a skilled Maintenance Fitter. This labour hire role offers a direct temp-to-perm pathway and autonomy to own the maintenance schedule in a high-speed plant.

You will handle reactive breakdowns, service conveyors and packaging machines, and perform machining to support repairs. A restricted electrical licence or willingness to obtain one is required along with Confined Spaces and Working

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of post trade experience.
• FMCG mindset with ability to troubleshoot quickly.
• Restricted electrical licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Confined Spaces and Working at Heights tickets with refresher training.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of reactive breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Work hands-on with conveyors, packaging machines, tetrapak mixers, rotary machines and PLCs.
• Perform general machining and fabrication to support breakdowns (20–30% of day).
• Proactively manage spare parts and preventative maintenance via MEX system.
• Induct and supervise external contractors to ensure safety standards.
