Job summary

ORIX Australia Corporation Limited is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join our Rental & Mobility team. You will build relationships with Major Account customers, win new business, and drive commercial growth.

Collaborate with Branch Operations, Asset Risk, Credit and Commercial teams to tailor solutions, lead negotiations, and grow share of wallet. Maintain accurate CRM records and report on pipeline.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Business Development or Sales.
• Hunter mentality with confidence in cold calling and prospecting.
• Experience in rental, transport, fleet management, mobility, asset finance or related industries is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Commercial acumen with ability to identify customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Self-motivated, autonomous, and proactive with strong time management skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with passion for delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Major Account customers through regular meetings and proactive account management.
• Drive new business growth through lead generation, cold calling, networking, and identifying new opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic customer plans to maximise uptake of ORIX Rental, Mobility, and Fleet solutions.
• Collaborate with Branch Operations, Asset Risk, Credit and Commercial teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
• Lead commercial negotiations and close opportunities that drive revenue growth and increased share of wallet.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to optimise customer experience, retention, and long-term account growth.
• Stay ahead of market trends and position ORIX’s mobility solutions as innovative and future-focused.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on customer activity and pipeline performance.
• Represent ORIX professionally in the marketplace while upholding our values and commitment to customer service.
