Job summary

Insane Performance – Rockhampton, Central Queensland is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our growing Rockhampton workshop. You will work on late-model 4WDs, American trucks and high-performance cars, with access to two Mainline dynos and advanced diagnostic gear.

We offer excellent pay based on experience and ability with a KPI-driven bonus scheme, plus a modern, well-equipped workshop and diverse, interesting vehicles.

Full-time | Excellent hourly rate | Performance and Diesel workshop

Insane Performance is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our growing Rockhampton workshop.

We are not an ordinary mechanical workshop. Our team works on everything from late-model 4WDs and American trucks through to high-performance street cars, custom builds and competition vehicles.

With 2 Mainline dynos, including an AWD chassis dyno and a Pro Hub dyno, we offer a variety of work that is difficult to find anywhere else in Central Queensland.

The Role

Your work may include:

• General mechanical servicing and repairs
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• 4WD and diesel repairs
• Suspension, brakes and driveline repairs
• Turbocharger, intercooler and exhaust upgrades
• Performance modifications and vehicle upgrades
• Pre-delivery inspections and quality-control checks
• Working alongside our fabrication and tuning teams
• Accurately recording labour, parts and job information

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Takes pride in producing high-quality work
• Can diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts
• Is reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
• Understands the importance of cleanliness and presentation
• Communicates clearly with the workshop and service team
• Has a genuine interest in 4WDs, diesel vehicles or performance cars
• Experience with late-model diesel vehicles, American trucks, diagnostics or performance modification work would be highly regarded, but it is not essential.
