Job summary

Dieselflash Whitsundays, based in Proserpine, QLD, is seeking a fully qualified mechanic with diesel and 4WD experience. You’ll join a modern workshop serving the Whitsundays, performing turbocharger upgrades, diagnostics, and dyno tuning in a supportive team.

We offer a 4‑day workweek (Fridays off), working in a clean facility with top equipment and a great culture. Pay is above the Award and negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified mechanic (diesel or light vehicle) with experience in diesel engines and 4WD setups.
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools and fault-finding.
• Able to work independently in a small, passionate team.
• Pride in workmanship and reliability.
• 4-day workweek with Fridays off.

Dieselflash Whitsundays is Hiring – Qualified Mechanic Wanted!

Location: Proserpine, QLD (servicing the Whitsundays)

Pay: Above Award – negotiable based on experience

At Dieselflash Whitsundays, we’re all about power, performance, and precision. Based in Proserpine, we operate a fully equipped, modern diesel and 4WD performance workshop serving Airlie Beach, Bowen, Mackay, Townsville, and beyond.

• Diesel diagnostics & repairs
• 4WD accessory fitting – bullbars, tow bars, winches, snorkels, lighting, and more
• Turbocharger upgrades & performance enhancements
• In-house dyno tuning and ECU remapping
• Volkswagen Amarok, American Truck, Chevy Ram and Ford & common-rail diesel expertise

About the Role

We’re on the hunt for a fully qualified mechanic who’s passionate about 4WDs, diesel tuning, and quality workmanship. You’ll be working in a clean, modern shop with top-of-the-line equipment and a supportive team around you.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

• Turbocharger installations & performance upgrades
• Suspension setups & custom GVM solutions
• Working closely with the dyno & tuning team
