Job summary

All Carbitz is hiring a Spare Parts Interpreter to bridge customers and our inventory system at Coopers Plains, Queensland. This full-time role focuses on translating customer requirements into precise part specifications, using catalogues and VIN decoders to locate the correct components.

You will identify parts, verify compatibility, manage orders, and liaise with suppliers to source hard-to-find items, contributing to customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive spare parts interpretation or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and part compatibility across makes/models.
• Proficiency with parts catalogues, VIN decoders and inventory management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in identifying components.
• Effective communication to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple customer enquiries simultaneously.
• Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer enquiries and identify correct spare parts using technical documentation, catalogues and computer systems.
• Cross-reference vehicle identification information with parts databases for accurate matching.
• Provide expert guidance on part compatibility, specifications and availability.
• Manage customer orders and ensure timely processing and dispatch of parts.
• Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and communicate stock levels to management.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source hard-to-find components.
• Resolve customer queries related to part identification and orders.
• Stay current with automotive industry developments and new parts releases.
• Contribute to a well-organised and professional parts department.
