Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics seeks a Maintenance & Operations Manager based in Western Sydney, NSW, to lead the setup and ongoing operation of Australia’s most advanced automated distribution facility. This role offers the chance to build a maintenance and operations team from the ground up and drive system performance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in industrial or automated environments.
• Experience setting up or scaling new service operations.
• Strong maintenance management expertise and asset lifecycle knowledge.
• Lead multidisciplinary technical teams focusing on safety, uptime and cost.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiar with Lean/Six Sigma or TPS and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Establish, recruit and develop a high-performing maintenance and operations team for a greenfield automated site.
• Lead transition from project delivery to operational service and ensure site readiness.
• Drive system performance, uptime, OEE, reliability and safety KPIs.
• Develop and improve maintenance strategies and asset management processes.
• Act as primary customer contact for performance, service delivery and incident management.
• Use data and CMMS to optimise maintenance and reliability.
• Foster a safety-first culture and lead continuous improvement.
