Design & Build Recruitment is hiring a Maintenance Fitter for a large, national manufacturing site in Sydney’s Smithfield area. The role focuses on keeping automated production equipment operating efficiently, with a strong emphasis on preventive and breakdown maintenance.

The successful candidate will have hydraulic and pneumatic experience, strong fault-finding skills, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance on automated production equipment.
• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs on complex machinery.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across automated production equipment.
• Perform mechanical fault finding and repairs to keep lines running.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and assist with CMMS notes.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives with production teams.
