NX Blue is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support the safe and reliable operation of an advanced automated manufacturing plant. You will work with site operations and central engineering to improve performance, minimise downtime and deliver projects that enhance safety and efficiency.

The role involves supporting automated systems, robotics, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities, with a clear focus on plant reliability and collaboration across teams.

Formación

• A recognised Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• At least two years of experience in automation, controls or industrial systems.
• Practical knowledge of PLC systems, Siemens S7 highly regarded.
• Experience in troubleshooting, fault finding and root cause failure analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking and logical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously and make sound technical decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders.
• A proactive, results-driven approach with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Providing technical support for automated systems, robotics and electrical controls.
• Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, investigating failures and root cause analysis.
• Developing and implementing engineering modifications, PLC programs and automation improvements.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve plant performance.
• Supporting commissioning, shutdown planning, risk assessments and projects.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards, validation and audits.
• Collaborating with site teams and engineering stakeholders to maintain reliable operations.
