Job summary
Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. on the Gold Coast, Australia, seeks an experienced Automation & Control Specialist to install, commission, troubleshoot, and improve plant automation systems, ensuring safe and reliable operations.
You will design and configure PLC, HMI, DCS and SCADA systems, develop PLC logic, support maintenance and production teams, and guide junior specialists in a mining environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of automation experience, preferably in mining/mineral processing.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, DCS and SCADA systems.
- Experience with Wonderware/System Platform is an advantage.
- Knowledge of industrial networks, alarm management and cybersecurity.
- Good written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, troubleshoot and improve automation and control systems for plant operations.
- Design, configure and commission PLC, HMI, DCS and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot and modify control systems to improve reliability and performance.
- Develop PLC logic, control strategies and automation solutions.
- Provide technical support to Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation teams.
- Support automation projects, system upgrades, backups and industrial networking.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to Junior Automation & Control Specialists and Technicians.
