Job description

What's in it for you?
If you want to move beyond corporate red tape and actually build solutions from the ground up, this role gives you full architectural control across an established business technology stack. You will join a leading business technology and managed print solutions provider, reporting directly to the Director as we bring our systems integration capability in-house. Stepping in with an immediate mandate to take ownership of partially built Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable projects previously handled by an external vendor, you will stabilise and deliver mid-flight workflows from day one. From there, you will take the reins as the driving architectural force across our core technology stack, tackling an active pipeline of over 20 business process automation projects, with the rare opportunity to commercialise internal IP into client-facing products.

What you'll be doing:

  • Project Recovery & Delivery: Evaluate, stabilise, and complete existing AP and AR automation projects that are currently partially built.
  • Systems Architecture & Integration: Design and implement seamless data flows and API connections across our core platforms, including Jim2 (ERP), Salesforce, Canon Document Management (Therefore), and the Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform/Azure).
  • Internal Consulting & Business Analysis: Partner closely with internal department heads across our NSW service centres to map manual workflows, identify bottlenecks, and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Strategic Roadmap Management: Take full ownership of an immediate pipeline of 20+ automation initiatives, prioritising execution based on business value, ROI, and efficiency gains.
  • Commercialisation & Productisation: Architect workflows with scalability in mind, preparing internal IP to be packaged and eventually sold to external clients.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Report directly to the Director, translating complex technical decisions, architecture, and project statuses into clear commercial outcomes.

Experience required:
  • Senior-Level Integration Experience: Proven track record delivering API integrations, webhooks, and middleware solutions (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Logic Apps, or custom scripting).
  • Project Rescue: Practical experience assessing, inheriting, and completing third-party code and partially built architectures.
  • Tech Stack Familiarity: Strong working knowledge of ERP and CRM platforms, with specific experience in Jim2, Salesforce, or Canon Document Management platforms considered highly advantageous.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between technical architecture and commercial business needs, particularly across finance workflows (AP/AR) and service operations.
  • Consultative Communication: Exceptional ability to interview internal staff, map user journeys, and present solutions clearly to non-technical leadership.

About the company:
The business is a leading provider of Managed Print Solutions, document management, and business technology, supporting clients through service centres across NSW. Backed by a supportive, dynamic, and successful team of around 55 professionals, the company prides itself on helping businesses save time and money by improving processes and automating repetitive tasks. Bringing systems integration in-house marks the next evolution of their operational growth and technical capability.

Benefits:

  • Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid working model based out of our Newcastle office.
  • Direct Access to Leadership: Flat reporting structure working directly with the Director.
  • Total Technical Autonomy: The autonomy to own the entire automation architecture and roadmap of a growing business.
  • Commercial Impact: The unique opportunity to build internal tools and IP that will evolve into commercialised client-facing products.
