Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking an Auto Electrician to join the Maintenance team at Peak Mine, Cobar NSW. You will deliver auto electrical support for underground and surface workshops, carrying out breakdown and preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology, with underground mining experience and hands-on knowledge of CAT equipment and hydraulic systems. Relocation options and a family-friendly roster are available.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology is required.
• Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology is desirable.
• Experience in underground hard rock mining environments is preferred.

About the role

We are currently looking for an Auto Electrician to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will provide auto electrical support across both our underground and surface workshops, performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.

Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW

Travel options

Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance

DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance

FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

Qualifications and experience

Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology

Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology (desirable)

Prior experience in underground hard rock mining environments

Hands-on experience with:

CAT R2900G, 980, 950

Volvo/CAT ancillary equipment

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across electrical and hydraulic systems

Team-oriented with a positive, inclusive work approach
