Job summary

HVO Wages_HVO Services Pty Ltd. Company in Singleton, NSW is seeking an Auto Electrician to maintain and repair heavy mining equipment including Caterpillar and Komatsu machines on site at the North Facility.

You will perform in-pit diagnosis, high‑quality electrical work and collaborate with trades to keep downtime to a minimum. The role requires an Auto Electrical Trade Qualification, 12+ months on heavy mobile equipment, an Extra Low Voltage (Orange Card) and a strong safety mindset;

Qualifications

• Auto Electrical Trade Qualification
• 12+ months experience on heavy mobile equipment (Komatsu & Caterpillar)
• Extra Low Voltage (Orange Card) qualification
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a team
• Excellent fault-finding and communication skills
• High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights) preferred

Responsibilities

• Work on Haul Trucks, Watercarts, Dozers, Graders & Loaders to keep the operation running smoothly
• Perform high-quality auto electrical repairs to reduce faults and downtime
• Conduct in-pit diagnosis and repair of machinery
• Collaborate with other trades to return machines to service and meet shift plans
• Contribute to a culture focused on safe, proactive teamwork and continuous improvement

Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Work on a variety of plant and equipment including Haul Trucks, Watercarts, Dozers, Graders & Loaders (primarily Caterpillar & Komatsu) to keep the operation running smoothly and reduce downtime
• Complete effective, high quality auto electrical work on machines to reduce faults and breakdowns
• In-pit diagnosis and repair of machinery
• Work collaboratively with other trades to return machines to work and meet planned tasks for the shift
• Actively participate in a culture that focuses on delivery of results through effective teamwork, proactive safety and a focus on continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU

• Auto Electrical Trade Qualification
• 12 months+ experience working on heavy mobile equipment (Komatsu & Caterpillar focused)
• Extra Low Voltage (Orange Card) qualification
• Motivated and hardworking individual with a strong safety mindset
• High level communication and fault-finding skills
• High Risk Work Licences such as Forklift, EWP & Working at Heights will be highly regarded
• Air Conditioning experience and qualifications are advantageous
• Possess a positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment

ROSTER AND LOCATION

Lifestyle Roster (12 hour rotating day/night shifts)

Based on site at HVO North Facility (off Lemington Road)
