Job summary

Glencore Australia, Hunter Valley Operations, is seeking an Auto Electrical Trade professional to service a range of heavy mining equipment on site at the HVO North Facility. The role emphasises safety, teamwork and proactive fault-finding within a high-demand environment.

You will complete high-quality auto electrical work, diagnose faults, and collaborate with other trades to keep machinery operating and meet shift targets. A strong safety mindset and relevant experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Auto electrical trade qualification required.
• 12 months+ experience on heavy mobile equipment (Komatsu & Caterpillar).
• Extra Low Voltage (Orange Card) qualification preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and teamwork.
• Air conditioning experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform auto electrical work on heavy mining equipment to reduce faults and downtime.
• Diagnose and repair machinery in-pit.
• Collaborate with other trades to return machines to service and meet shift tasks.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Work on a variety of plant and equipment including Haul Trucks, Watercarts, Dozers, Graders & Loaders (primarily Caterpillar & Komatsu) to keep the operation running smoothly and reduce downtime
• Complete effective, high quality auto electrical work on machines to reduce faults and breakdowns
• In-pit diagnosis and repair of machinery
• Work collaboratively with other trades to return machines to work and meet planned tasks for the shift
• Actively participate in a culture that focuses on delivery of results through effective teamwork, proactive safety and a focus on continuous improvement

About You

• Auto Electrical Trade Qualification
• 12 months+ experience working on heavy mobile equipment (Komatsu & Caterpillar focused)
• Extra Low Voltage (Orange Card) qualification
• Motivated and hardworking individual with a strong safety mindset
• High level communication and fault-finding skills
• High Risk Work Licences such as Forklift, EWP & Working at Heights will be highly regarded
• Air Conditioning experience and qualifications are advantageous
• Possess a positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment

• Based on site at HVO North Facility (off Lemington Road)
