Engineering Trades Australia is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Auto Electrician to join a civil and mining sector client in a field-based Serviceperson capacity. We are currently seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Auto Electrician to join an industry-leading client within the civil and mining sector in a field-based Serviceperson capacity. This role will see you travelling across a range of sites north and south of Perth, carrying out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on a variety of heavy earthmoving equipment.

Offering $70 per hour, a work ute provided and consistent 6am-4pm hours, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician looking for variety, stability and the potential to move into a long-term or permanent position.

The Role

Working in a field service / Serviceperson capacity, you'll be responsible for keeping a range of heavy earthmoving equipment operating safely and efficiently across multiple client sites. This is a hands-on position suited to an Auto Electrician who is confident working independently in the field, troubleshooting faults and getting equipment back up and running with minimal downtime.

• Performing diagnostics, servicing and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment
• Attending field service requirements across sites north and south of Perth
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults
• Completing preventative and scheduled servicing
• Carrying out breakdown repairs and troubleshooting
• Inspecting electrical systems and identifying potential faults
• Repairing and replacing electrical components as required
• Working across a variety of heavy mobile and earthmoving equipment
• Completing relevant service and maintenance documentation
• Communicating with site personnel and the wider service team
• Maintaining the provided work ute, tools and equipment
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
• Strong experience working with heavy diesel / earthmoving equipment
• Demonstrated diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience completing servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Ability to confidently troubleshoot equipment in a field environment
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• A reliable and proactive approach to work
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Full Australian working rights

Previous experience within the civil, mining, heavy earthmoving or mobile plant industries will be highly regarded.
