Job summary

Willowbank Primary School in Gisborne, Victoria, is seeking a classroom teacher (Prep–6) to deliver high-quality literacy and numeracy instruction, respond to diverse student needs, and contribute to school improvement. Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to teach literacy and numeracy; respond to student learning needs.
• SC2: Demonstrated planning for high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating impact.
• SC3: Demonstrated monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching and provide feedback.
• SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• SC5: Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Department values and commitment to professional learning.
• SC6: Demonstrated knowledge, qualifications and capacity to teach Auslan from Prep to Year 6.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve learning outcomes.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum areas.
• Undertake classroom and organisational duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions; support student learning and wellbeing.
• Undertake non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
