Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries Australia seeks a Regulatory / Safety / Assurance Integration Manager to join the team in Canberra. You will ensure sustainment activities meet safety, certification, and regulatory requirements, embedding assurance considerations into planning and execution in a high-consequence environment.

The role requires 10 years in nuclear safety, certification, or regulatory environments, with NNPP exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in nuclear safety, certification, or regulatory environments.
• Direct exposure to NNPP or equivalent nuclear governance.
• Experience integrating safety cases and certification processes.
• High-consequence risk management experience.
• Active Secret or higher clearance within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Integrate safety case, certification, and sustainment activities.
• Interface with Engineering Authority, NSSG, and regulators.
• Ensure planning aligns with configuration baselines and safety constraints.
• Support development of nuclear-relevant assurance frameworks.
• Identify and elevate safety and certification risks early.
