Job summary

Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is seeking an Operations Manager to provide high‑level support to the Assistant Director, Operations within the Audit Operations team in Australia. The role directs daily operations, planning and administrative delivery across the audit section to ensure efficiency and effective scheduling.

You will collaborate with multiple teams, mentor staff, manage competing priorities and apply contemporary risk‑based regulatory principles while upholding APS values

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, admin management or project delivery within a defined framework.
• Strong judgment, analysis and risk awareness applied to operational decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a high‑pressure environment and adapt to changes.
• Mentor and upskill staff, promote risk‑based regulation principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level operations support to the Assistant Director, Operations.
• Oversee daily team operations and coordinate scheduling and administrative delivery.
• Collaborate across Audit and Regulatory Operations to ensure efficiency and alignment.
• Mentor, train and upskill team members as needed.
