Job summary

William Buck is seeking an experienced Audit Intermediate to join our Audit & Advisory division in Sydney. You’ll work with Partners and Managers across a diverse client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses, ASX-listed entities, and Not-for-Profits, in a supportive, growth‑driven environment.

You’ll partner with managers through all engagement phases, build strong client relationships, evaluate internal controls, and help develop junior team members while balancing competing priorities

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• A relevant degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business.
• Working toward CA qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge of audit standards and IFRS.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
• The ability to manage competing priorities with confidence and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with Audit Managers and Partners through all phases of the engagement
• Building strong client relationships and managing all aspects of the audit engagement
• Evaluating and documenting the control environment and internal controls
• Reviewing and preparing financial reports under relevant reporting frameworks
• Actively contributing to developing more junior team members
