Job summary

Accru Felsers in Sydney is seeking a graduate to join the audit team on a permanent basis, ideal for someone nearing degree completion who wants to start a career in external audit and work towards the CA qualification.

You will work across a varied portfolio of audits, prepare workpapers, perform substantive testing, obtain audit evidence, assist with financial statement review, and liaise with clients to gather information.

• Experience in accounting or audit is helpful but not required for a graduate

The Opportunity

We are looking for a graduate to join the audit team on a permanent basis. The role would suit a recent accounting graduate, or someone nearing completion of their degree, who is looking to commence their career in external audit and work towards the CA qualification.

The role would involve working across a varied portfolio of audit and assurance engagements, including statutory financial statement audits, and supporting the team through the full audit cycle. Key responsibilities would include preparing audit workpapers, performing substantive testing and analytical procedures, obtaining and documenting audit evidence, assisting with financial statement review, communicating with clients to obtain requested information, and working with senior team members to resolve audit matters.

Your experience and attributes

We would ideally be looking for someone with a relevant accounting or commerce degree, strong written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail, confidence working with Excel and financial information, and a willingness to learn and develop within audit. Previous accounting or audit experience would be helpful but would not be essential for a graduate candidate.
