Job summary

Agrifutures seeks an experienced Head of Finance / Financial Controller for a six-month contract in Victoria. This senior role reports to the finance leadership team and will own financial control and finance operations across a large, complex business.

You will lead a sizeable team across Accounting, Accounts Payable, Banking and Payroll, provide technical accounting leadership, ensure the integrity of the control environment and keep finance operations running smoothly through a busy period.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Head of Finance or Financial Controller.
• ASX-listed experience is critical.
• Experience in a large, complex retail or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax, audit, risk and compliance.
• CA/CPA qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team across Accounting, AP, Banking and Payroll.
• Own financial control environment and ensure accuracy of reporting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance across the business.
• Manage statutory, tax and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Lead and support external audit and deliverables.
• Oversee risk, governance and compliance requirements, including papers for senior leadership.
• Support sustainability reporting.
• Embed controls, processes and governance across finance.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across a large organisation.
• Identify issues quickly and operate hands-on when needed.
