Job summary

Agrifutures is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our Australian consumer goods and retail business as it embarks on a significant growth journey. Reporting to the CFO as Finance 2IC, you will strengthen the finance function, embed robust controls and governance, and help prepare the business for its next phase of expansion.

This role is hands-on and transformational, with oversight of month and year-end, treasury, working capital and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with proven Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, consumer products sectors.
• Strong financial reporting, controls, governance and treasury capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and develop talent.
• Proactive, adaptable leader who drives change.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial control, compliance and governance activities.
• Oversee month end, year end and audit processes.
• Manage treasury, cash flow forecasting and working capital outcomes.
• Drive balance sheet integrity and financial reporting accuracy.
• Strengthen internal controls, policies and finance processes.
• Lead and develop the transactional finance team.
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the business.
• Support system, reporting and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic projects and business growth initiatives.
