Job summary

Beca is seeking an Associate to lead transmission line projects in Australia and New Zealand, driving technical direction from concept to construction support. You will mentor engineers, strengthen client relationships, and help grow Beca’s Power and transmission line capabilities across major infrastructure programs.

You will bring a degree in Engineering and Chartered status (or eligibility), with extensive HV line project experience and proficiency in PLS-CADD and/or TOWER.

The Opportunity

As an Associate, you will provide technical leadership across major transmission line projects while contributing to the growth and development of our transmission line capability. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and senior stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions and supporting the continued growth of Beca’s Power sector business.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale transmission infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand while mentoring engineers, strengthening client relationships, and influencing the technical direction of projects and teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the delivery of complex transmission line projects, providing technical leadership from concept through to construction support.
• Develop innovative solutions for high-voltage transmission infrastructure while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships, support project pursuits, and contribute to the growth of Beca’s transmission line and Power business.
• Mentor and develop engineers while promoting technical excellence and best practice across the team.

About You

You’re an experienced transmission line engineer with strong technical capability, a collaborative approach and a passion for delivering successful project outcomes. You enjoy building relationships, sharing your knowledge and helping develop the next generation of engineers.

You’ll bring:

• A degree in Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer status (or eligibility to achieve chartership).
• Extensive experience delivering high-voltage transmission line projects within the electricity transmission sector, including design, technical leadership and project delivery responsibilities, with advanced proficiency in PLS-CADD and/or TOWER.
• Strong client relationship, stakeholder management, and project delivery experience within multidisciplinary environments.
• A demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, contribute to business growth, and support the development of technical capability.
