Robert Bird Group is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join the Buildings and Structures team in North Sydney. You will lead structural design and documentation for projects locally and nationally, coordinating with engineers, drafters and PMs.

Applicants should have an engineering degree with a structural focus, 8+ years in design consultancy, solid steel and concrete design knowledge, and be working towards or chartered (CPEng).

Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering qualifications – with a focus in Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years’ industry experience working within an engineering design consultancy.
• Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
• CPEng or actively working towards chartership.
• Demonstrated design experience using relevant Structural software.
• Possesses project management and hands‑on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects.
• Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment.
• Full working rights.

Responsabilités

• Coordinating the structural design and documentation for various projects locally and nationally.
• Undertaking structural design components using Space Gass, ETABS, Microstran and Strand7.
• Reviewing structural designs, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and Robert Bird Group.
• Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals.
• Actively collaborate with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co‑ordination of project deliverables.
• Actively contribute to the technical success of projects and the team.
• Client liaison, in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates, regarding current and future projects.
