Job summary

Robert Bird Group, a member of the SJ Group, is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join our buildings and structures team in North Sydney. You will contribute to technical design input, coordination and project delivery across national projects.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering design consultancy, expertise in steel and concrete, and progress toward chartership. You will use Space Gass, ETABS, Microstran and Strand7, and work in a collaborative, hybrid environment with flexible

Qualifications

Engineering degree with a focus on Structural Engineering.
8+ years’ experience in an engineering design consultancy.
Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
CPEng or actively working towards chartership.
Experience using relevant structural software.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the structural design and documentation for projects locally and nationally.
Undertake design tasks using Space Gass, ETABS, Microstran and Strand7; review designs for compliance with standards.
Produce engineering reports and tender proposals; contribute to project delivery.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
Liaise with Project Directors and Associates regarding current and future projects.
