Job summary

Surbana Consultants Pte Ltd – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) branch is looking for experienced Structural Engineers to join our Construction Engineering team in Melbourne. Ideal candidates should have relevant engineering qualifications and at least 4 years of industry experience, with a strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.

You will be responsible for detailed design, client liaison, and delivering projects with a focus on quality and innovation. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of structural engineering industry experience.
• Experience in temporary works design is preferred but not required.
• Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
• Possesses project management and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Detailed structural design of temporary works and associated impacts on permanent works.

Role Overview

Due to recent project wins, we are seeking experienced Structural Engineers to join our Construction Engineering team in Melbourne. Successful candidates will provide specialist staged analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design services to some of the biggest contractors constructing Melbourne’s most significant building and major transport infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Detailed structural design of temporary works and associated impacts on permanent works.
• Client liaison, in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates, regarding current and future projects.
• Active involvement in all projects, including project resource management, in conjunction with the Project Directors.
• Successfully deliver current and future projects, while supporting RBG’s reputation for innovation, technical excellence, quality, and project delivery.
• Proactively collaborate with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables.
• Submit technical reports of a standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications – with a focus in Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of structural engineering industry experience.
• Experience in the delivery of temporary works design is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in delivering detailed engineering drawings corresponding with the level of duties.
• Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
