Job summary

Audit Office of New South Wales in Sydney seeks an Associate Director, Governance (Risk) to lead enterprise risk management, resilience, and governance reporting. You will advise senior executives, develop risk insights, and strengthen internal controls across the organisation.

The role demands a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, deep governance knowledge and experience in risk management for the public sector, plus the ability to engage stakeholders and drive cross-functional

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated substantial understanding of governance in the public sector.
• Sound knowledge of risk management, internal controls and assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the organisation's enterprise risk management framework.
• Design, implement and maintain the business continuity planning framework.
• Provide advice on risk trends and controls to the CRO, CIO and leadership.
• Lead and coach direct reports to strengthen risk and governance capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Associate Director (Integrity) to coordinate governance activities.
