Job summary

Bluefin Resources is partnering with a leading Australian organisation to appoint an Associate Director, Risk. This role leads a major transformation of the enterprise risk function, strengthening governance, risk maturity and accountability across the organisation.

You will drive risk transformation, embed a stronger risk culture, and partner with senior stakeholders to improve risk ownership and Board-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise risk management experience in large, complex organisations.
• Proven track record delivering risk transformation and maturity uplift.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, appetite, governance and board reporting.
• Experience implementing or embedding GRC systems.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.

Operating within a large and complex environment, the organisation is undertaking a significant transformation of its enterprise risk function, with an approved roadmap focused on strengthening risk maturity, governance and accountability.
This is an opportunity for an experienced risk leader to drive meaningful change, build capability and shape how enterprise risk is managed across the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Risk, you will lead the delivery of the enterprise risk transformation roadmap, with a focus on:

• Driving risk transformation initiatives and embedding a stronger risk culture.
• Strengthening enterprise risk frameworks, risk appetite, material risk assessments and reporting.
• Leading the rollout and adoption of a new GRC platform.
• Partnering with senior executives and stakeholders to improve risk ownership and decision-making.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Extensive enterprise risk management experience within a large, complex organisation.
• Proven experience delivering risk transformation and maturity uplift initiatives.
• Strong technical knowledge of risk frameworks, risk appetite, governance and Board-level reporting.
• Experience implementing or embedding GRC systems.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to delivering change.

Experience across commercial, consulting or similarly complex environments will be highly regarded.
