Job summary

Aurecon is seeking an Associate Director of Civil Engineering to base in Gladstone or Rockhampton, leading the civil engineering capability across Central Queensland and guiding multi-disciplinary delivery across transport and community infrastructure.

You will advance complex projects, nurture client relationships and mentor engineers while contributing to Aurecon's regional growth within a connected national network of experts.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in consulting or infrastructure environments.
• Strong client relationship management and business development capability.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to manage project delivery, commercial outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of Australian standards, design processes and infrastructure delivery frameworks.
• RPEQ is essential.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities and contributing to growth.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration and innovation.
• Drive quality project outcomes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and engineering best practice.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and help strengthen Aurecon's presence across Central Queensland.
