Sunshine Coast Grammar School invites an Associate Chaplain to join in 2027 on a one-year contract, commencing Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on leading Christian education, chapel services and broad pastoral support within a Presbyterian/Uniting Church-aligned context.

The successful candidate will register as a teacher, have experience with children and youth, and hold biblical training. Collaboration with staff and church partners is essential for ministry effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Must be registered to teach with relevant Australian authority and have experience leading Christian Education programs.
• Demonstrated ability to engage students in upper primary and secondary years.
• Commitment to Christian ethos and school values as part of the PMSA network.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Christian education across upper Primary and Secondary.
• Provide pastoral care and support to students, staff and families.
• Coordinate chapel services, devotions and spiritual programs in line with school values.
• Lead and participate in JOLT groups and pastoral initiatives.
• Maintain accurate pastoral records and refer students to support services as needed.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to support students emotionally, socially and spiritually.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
• Evaluate the impact of the Christian ministry program within the school.
