Job summary

Brisbane Isuzu is seeking a full-time Associate Accountant to join our Finance team in Eagle Farm, QLD. You will support operations, assist with reconciliations, and help close processes while growing your accounting career within a dynamic automotive dealership.

You’ll work across AP/AR, GL reconciliations, invoicing, and reporting under supervision, contributing to timely, accurate financial outcomes. A relevant qualification and strong Excel skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Accounting or Finance or related discipline, or professional qualification.
• Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferred in retail or automotive.
• Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
• Organised with good time management to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional, reliable approach and deadline focus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close procedures.
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders and expense reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Perform data entry and verify financial transactions.
• Support preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers on financial matters.

What we’re looking for
