Eagers Automotive is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Australia. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers exposure to a wide range of accounting activities and the opportunity to develop technical and commercial capabilities.

Key responsibilities include assisting with month-end and year-end reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, fixed asset maintenance, and analytics for internal decision making.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or progress towards CPA or CA accreditation.
• Experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
• Experience in automotive retail or multi-site environment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

About the Role
