Job summary

Brisbane Isuzu in Eagle Farm, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair a range of light vehicles. This full-time role focuses on diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safety and reliability of vehicles for customers.

You will work with modern diagnostic tools, document service activity, and follow manufacturer procedures while delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Current automotive trade qualification or equivalent recognised certification.
• Proven experience as a light vehicle technician.
• Knowledge of light vehicle systems: mechanical, electrical and hydraulic.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams and service specifications.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Team player with ability to work independently.
• Commitment to health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements and tyre rotations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions and brakes.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and safety checks.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and service procedures.
• Communicate with customers regarding issues and repairs.
• Keep workshop area clean and compliant with safety regulations.
• Identify safety hazards and report maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to deliver quality service.
