Job summary

The Provincial Hotel in Melbourne is looking for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join the team and help lead one of the city's busy late-night venues.

If you’re an AVM or a Senior DM ready to step up, you’ll support the Venue Manager with daily operations, lead a passionate team, manage guest welfare and compliance, and drive exceptional guest experiences under Australian Venue Co.

Qualifications

• Experience as an AVM, or a Senior DM ready to step up.
• Strong pub, bar or late-night venue experience
• A confident and calm approach to challenging situations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A genuine interest in developing your hospitality career

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Venue Manager with day-to-day operations
• Leading the team through busy services and late-night trade
• Managing patron welfare, incidents, RSA and venue compliance
• Coaching and developing the team
• Driving great guest experiences and strong venue standards

We’re looking for a confident, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows how to lead a team through a busy service and can confidently manage the challenges that come with late-night trade.

Already an AVM? Great. A strong Senior Duty Manager ready to take the next step would also be a great fit.
