Sim Play Golf is a premium new indoor golf facility located in Brookvale featuring 4 Trackman bays and 4 ProTee VX bays (running GSPro). We are on a mission to build a modern indoor golf facility that combines professional standards with a fun, inclusive environment. About the role

As an Assistant Venue Manager, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring compliance, supporting staff and coach supervision while ensuring exceptional experiences for our members and customers. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring simulator bays are running efficiently, employees are supported, and members and customers receive exceptional service. The roster includes evenings and weekends, balancing a mix of day and evening shifts. This can be flexible.

Key responsibilities

• Opening and/or closing the facility
• Managing and leading the efficient day-to-day running of facility operations
• Ensuring all simulator bays are running without issues and troubleshooting where required
• Adjusting daily rosters to meet operational requirements
• Leading, coaching, developing, and motivating team members
• Ensuring exceptional customer service for members and guests
• Managing staff performance and addressing operational issues as they arise
• Handling escalated customer enquiries and complaints
• Maintaining venue presentation and cleanliness
• Ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures

About you

• Previous management or supervisory experience, preferably within a sports or gym facility, hospitality, or customer service environment
• Knowledge or either Trackman or GSPro software is ideal, but not necessary
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and support teams
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to delivering exceptional customer and member experiences
• The ability to lead by example and maintain high service standards
• Strong organisational and rostering skills
• Passionate about sports, particularly golf
• Current RSA Competency Card (or willingness to obtain one)
• Current Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain one)
