Job summary

Horseland Perth in West Perth is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in planning and directing day-to-day store operations. You will help develop strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, increase profitability, and ensure standards across merchandising and staffing.

You will oversee staff when the manager is away, assist with recruitment and training, coach team members, approve timesheets, and help with local marketing and events to grow the customer base

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a similar role with comparable goals.
• Understanding of the equestrian industry or genuine interest in animals.
• Based in West Perth with secure on-site parking.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and work the shop floor
• Support Store Manager with retail duties
• Supervise staff in the Store Manager's absence
• Help with events and shows across operations
• Approve biweekly timesheets in the Store Manager's absence
• Support recruitment and training for store staff
• Coach, evaluate and monitor store team members
