Job summary

Horseland Perth in West Perth is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in planning and directing day-to-day store operations. You will help develop strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, increase profitability, and ensure standards across merchandising and staffing.

You will oversee staff when the manager is away, assist with recruitment and training, coach team members, approve timesheets, and help with local marketing and events to grow the customer base

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a similar role with comparable goals.
• Understanding of the equestrian industry or genuine interest in animals.
• Based in West Perth with secure on-site parking.

Job description

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager to plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store. You will assist in developing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, create store policies, and local area marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. You will maintain high store standards and foster a positive customer and team environment, ensuring customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. You will ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximise sales and profitability, and assist in ensuring all staffing is optimal for the store.

Contribute to employee performance by coaching, evaluating, and monitoring store team members

Authorise employee purchases and related discounts in accordance with established policies

About you

At least two years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities

An understanding of the equestrian industry, or at least a genuine lover of animals
