Pocket Savers The Discount Store in Plainland is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales, leading the team, and delivering excellent customer service.

You will manage day-to-day operations, oversee stock, merchandising and rostering, assist with training, and take responsibility for store openings and closures when required. This role suits a motivated, reliable retail professional who thrives on teamwork and a busy shop floor.

Qualifications

• Previous retail supervisory or management experience is essential.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Reliable, responsible and comfortable working independently.
• Available to work weekends as part of a rotating roster.
• Retail merchandising experience is highly regarded.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our Plainland team.

As Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in driving sales, leading the team, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, motivating and managing the team


• Maintain outstanding customer service standards


• Help drive sales through effective leadership and customer engagement


• Oversee merchandising, stock control and store presentation


• Assist with training and developing team members


• Support rostering and daily store operations


• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence


• Follow company procedures, including opening and closing the store


• Complete additional duties as required to support the business

About You
