Job summary

Amida Group in Sydney seeks an experienced Assistant Site Manager or Assistant Site Supervisor or Leading Hand to join their professional team on high-end fit-out and refurbishment projects.

You will support daily delivery of commercial fit-out works, ensuring work is completed to drawings, specs and timelines, with a trade/carpentry background and knowledge of HSE practices. Procore or Buildpass experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years of site supervision experience on construction projects.
• Trade or building related qualification is required.
• White Card and Senior First Aid Certification are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff and subcontractors.
• Review and manage key project issues and timelines.
• Liaise with authorities ensuring notifications are made and inspections are arranged.
• Assist Site Manager with scopes of work and schedule coordination.
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works.

A market leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, they are now seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager, Assistant Site Supervisor or Leading Hand to join their professional team.

Offering a range of services to their high-end clients, the company specialises in fit-out and refurb of Corporate Office, Health, Education, Government, Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure sector projects.

Projects are usually from smaller up to $15m+

You will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.

You will be supporting the Site Manager in the safe and efficient day-to-day delivery of fitout and construction works ideally from a trade / carpentry background. Any experience in Procore and Buildpass would be a benefit.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors
• Review and manage key project issues
• Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made
• Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
• Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants
• Assist Site Manager and Project Manager with preparing scopes of work
• Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Trade or building related qualification
• 2 to 5+ years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites
• Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with Procore of Buildpass would be ideal
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
