Job summary

Bunnings is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for its Bendigo store, leading a 50+ direct report team and handling duty manager responsibilities across weekdays and weekends. You will drive safety, stock integrity, and sales performance while engaging with departments, distribution centres and internal teams for ongoing store success.

You will support department managers, coach teams, and promote a high‑performance environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must have proven leadership of large teams and the ability to drive safety, engagement and performance.
• Experience in retail environments with high-volume operations and KPI delivery.
• Ability to coach and develop Department Managers and frontline teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 50+ direct reports, with duty manager duties including opening/closing the store across weekdays and weekends.
• Conduct safety walks and audits; coach safe behaviours across the warehouse.
• Monitor sales, margin and wage targets; implement improvement plans where needed.
• Drive stock accuracy and lead stocktake activities; investigate discrepancies.
• Foster customer satisfaction and team engagement through strong leadership.
