Job summary

Nido Early School Pennington seeks an Assistant Service Manager to help run the centre with a focus on safety, high-quality learning and family engagement.

You will support the Executive Service Manager with operations, staffing, onboarding, compliance, records, and ongoing staff development.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, 2+ years as a Lead Educator, WWCC and First Aid; Geccko training may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ACECQA-equivalent in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Lead Educator.
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and the National Quality Framework.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting teams and maintaining compliance systems.
• WWCC and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• Evidence of National Child Safety Training via Geccko (courses 1–5) or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Role involves assisting the Executive Service Manager to ensure smooth centre operation.
• Support compliance, safety checks, and family engagement initiatives.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and staff performance processes.
• Maintain accurate records for staff and children; ensure timely reporting.
• Provide operational coverage and lead by example in professional conduct.
