Job summary

Nido Early School in Athelstone is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to oversee centre operations, safety, family engagement and staff support. You will work with the Executive Service Manager to maintain high-quality early learning experiences.

The role requires a Diploma or ACECQA-equivalent qualification, 2+ years as a Lead Educator, and strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and the National Quality Framework. WWCC and First Aid are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in early childhood education.
• Lead Educator experience is required.
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and the National Quality Framework.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting teams and maintaining compliance systems.
• WWCC and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• Must complete National Child Safety Training Foundation & Advanced courses if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Role model high-quality educational practice and supervision.
• Ensure safe, clean, and aesthetically aligned environments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and performance processes.
• Maintain accurate staff and child records and ensure compliance.
• Act as WHS representative and support safety drills.
• Provide operational coverage when the Executive Service Manager is absent.
• Lead by example with consistency, respect, collaboration and communication.
