Job summary

Colliers in Canberra is seeking a Project Leader to support senior staff with end-to-end development advisory and client-side project management across a range of national and international clients.

You will coordinate project tasks, manage scope, budget, quality and procurement, and help deliver projects on time and within contractual requirements. This role emphasizes collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and practical project delivery.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within the industry.
• Commenced or completed a degree or formal qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Design or Construction.
• Good communication skills both written and oral, ability to converse with all levels of staff.
• It is essential to be reasonably proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in managing project scope, programmes, budget, quality, risk and procurement.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure project objectives and contractual requirements are achieved.
• Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, client updates and other project communications to maintain stakeholder engagement and transparency.
• Contribute to tendering, consultant management, payment processes and site activities to maintain cost, quality and schedule performance.
• Assist with contract administration, including RFIs, variations, extension of time requests, meeting coordination and project documentation.

Some day-to-day tasks include:

• Assist Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in managing project scope, programmes, budget, quality, risk and procurement.

• Take ownership of assigned project activities, proactively managing outcomes while supporting safe, compliant and high-quality project delivery.
