Job summary

Maple Reinders Constructors is seeking an Assistant Project Coordinator/Co-op Student (ICI Construction) for January 2027 in Cambridge, Ontario. The role supports Project Managers and Superintendents by maintaining contract documentation, assisting with budgets and schedules, and gaining exposure to Design Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management contracts.

Qualifications

• Full-time student enrolled in related post-secondary program (Architectural Technology, Construction Management or Civil Engineering).
• Or new graduate from related program who completed studies in 2026.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel would be an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain purchase order logs, shop drawing and submittal logs, and plan logs.
• Gain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtain quotations.
• Assisting with and/or clarifying scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers.
• Ensuring there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as our Corporate Health and Safety Policy.
• Attending site meetings and assisting in the completion of project deficiencies.
• Tracking and keeping inventory of supplies to ensure they arrive on schedule and are tracked.

Assistant Project Coordinator/Co-op Student (ICI Construction)

Term: Starting January 2027

TERM: 8 or 12 Month Term Preferred

Maple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for its next batch of co-op students starting in January 2027. For this job specifically we are searching for students to join our Buildings division (ICI Construction) out of our Cambridge, Ontario office.

As an Assistant Project Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers & Superintendents in the delivery of our exciting Buildings (ICI) projects. The focus of your role will be to maintain contract documentation, support estimating and assisting with the preparation of budgets and schedules. We work on a variety of types of contracts such as Design Build, Plan and Spec and Construction Management and you would gain experience on all of these. Please note a vehicle will be required to visit project sites, as the locations are not easily accessible by public transit.

The purpose of the Assistant Project Coordinator is to support the project team who ensure that a profit is made on the project, that the work is performed as per the contract documents, that the project is completed with outstanding quality, and that the jobsite is a safe workplace.

Pay Range: $22 - $28 / hour (depending on previous co-op terms / experience)

Location: Office based role in Cambridge, Ontario with travel to sites.
