Job summary

YMCA Grovely Outside School Hours Care is seeking a capable Assistant Coordinator to join a not-for-profit team. This part-time role supports the Coordinator with daily operations, leads programming, and helps guide a passionate team to deliver safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

The role involves assisting with day-to-day service running, school community engagement, and compliance. A Diploma in Childrens Services or related qualification (or studying) is preferred, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Diploma in Childrens Services or related ECEC/Teaching required or in progress.
• Demonstrated experience in children's programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the OSHC service.
• Lead child-led, play-based programming with the team.
• Guide educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and assist with administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.
