Job summary

The YMCA Grovely Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for a permanent part-time position to support the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

You will help with staffing, programming and administration while maintaining a commitment to a safe, inclusive environment and strong engagement with families and the local community.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or studying towards
• Experience in children’s programming and administration
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Blue Card (Paid) and First Aid/ CPR qualifications or willingness to obtain
• Commitment to safe, inclusive environment and familiarity with National Quality Framework

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community
