Job summary

The YMCA Hilder Road Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis. You will support daily operations, lead child-led programming, and guide educators to ensure safe, engaging care for children.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.
