Job summary

YMCA Grovely Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator to support daily service operations, lead programming, and guide a dedicated team of educators for children’s care.

The role is permanent part-time, with up to 34.5 hours during school terms and more during vacation care, offering career coaching and progression opportunities within a not-for-profit community-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.
