Job summary

YMCA Daisy Hill Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis. You will assist the Coordinator with daily operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team to deliver safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

The role focuses on supporting operations, child-led programming, staff guidance, and compliance within a not-for-profit setting. You will contribute to a community-focused program and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.
